Indie developer nDreams has revealed that it will be unveiling a ‘major’ virtual reality (VR) project at this year’s E3 in Los Angeles. ┬áIt will be the first time the developer has shown off a VR videogame since it announced that it was working on such projects. Founder and CEO Patrick O’Luanaigh was recently interviewed about the technology on the BBC and has written about his first experiences using VR for VRFocus in the past.

“Lots of work going on ready for E3.,” read a tweet from the developer’s Twitter account. “It’s going to be the most important show in our history, when we’ll show off our first major VR game.”

The post doesn’t reveal specifically which VR technology nDreams is working with. That said, the studio has previously confirmed that it is working on a PlayStation 4 title as well as a project for the Oculus Rift VR headset. It could be, then, that the team is working with either headset Oculus Rift or the Project Morpheus VR headset on this project, if not both. E3 runs from 10th – 12th June 2014, so expect the announcement then.

nDreams is known for its work on Sony’s PlayStation Home platform on PlayStation 3. It developed the world’s first console-based alternate reality title for the social software. VRFocus will continue to follow all the latest on nDreams and its VR project and bring it to you.
