YEI Technology relaunched their Kickstarter for the PrioVR motion-control suit yesterday, as reported by VRFocus, and today it has been revealed that the company has surpassed their target in less than 24 hours. In fact, at the time of writing they have raised 142% of the required funding, with $106, 950 USD pledged to a $75,000 target.
The PrioVR is a motion-sensor suit which will be available in three forms, each offering a greater degree of motion detection. The player’s movement is captured by a series of lightweight sensors strapped on to their body at designated points, including hands and head, and their movements are tracked 1:1 by the accompanying software. All three suits will offer this precise measurement of a user.
” We are all just so happily overwhelmed with all the support! Don’t worry, we’ll be responding to everyone’s questions, comments, and concerns.” Reads the sole update on the PrioVR Kickstarter page.
Exactly what YEI Technology’s intentioned are now is not yet known. Whether or not stretch goals will be added remains to be seen, but of course VRFocus has reached out to YEI Technology for a information on the path PrioVR will take from here.
