The PlayStation 4’s forthcoming Daylight has been billed as an inventive new survival horror experience, however little has been said about the PC edition of the videogame. Following the revelation that both editions will be fully compatible with stereoscopic 3D displays from launch comes an interesting teaser about the future virtual reality (VR) intentions for the title.
“The PlayStation 4 and PC version of Daylight will be fully 3D compatible out of the box! 3D-enabled TVs and monitors will bring the scares, jumps and all other things that haunt the Mid Island area to life in a very tangible way… If you have the means, we highly recommend giving this mode a try.” Reads the official press release, before following with; “Oh and rumor [sic] has that Daylight may be adapted to a consumer VR system in the near future, for those brave enough…”
Seeing as this statement was made by the team directly responsible for Daylight it would be safe to assume such a suggestion would not be made were there no ground for it. Zombie Studios have partnered with Atlus for the release of Daylight, currently expected to arrive on both PlayStation 4 and PC simultaneously on 8th April 2014, and VRFocus will keep you updated with all future developments on the videogame’ potential VR release.
