With Slighty Mad Studios currently preparing to release the virtual reality (VR) compatible Project CARS in just a few months time, the developer has today revealed a limited edition of the racing title. Available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and, later down the line, Wii U, the Project CARS Limited Edition comes with a host of extras including both exclusive in-game and a number of other bonuses.
First off, this edition comes in a steel case and is accompanied with a behind-the-scenes book titled Project CARS: By Racers 4 Racers, chronicling the making of the title. Not only that but there are five extra in-game cars available with this edition. These include the McLaren F1, Sauber C9, BMW M1 ProCar, Mercedes-AMG C-Class Coupé DTM and 1967 Ford Mk IV. Pre-ordering the title will also net players a Modified Car Pack including three custom cars.
Pricing for the limited edition is yet to be revealed. A trailer for the set back be seen below. Project CARS is a racing simulation title that lets players race across a range of disciplines or focus on a specific type, with a large amount of vehicles and tracks to choose from. The title is due to receive support for the Oculus Rift VR head-mounted display (HMD) on PC and Project Morpheus VR HMD on PlayStation 4. VRFocus will continue to follow the title going forward, reporting back with any further updates.
